IMHO it will be shown after the dust clears that especially Manhattan but NY in general was infected largely due to two things. 1. It's subways. 2. Not making people wear masks while on the subways.
Those two things in combination are what I am speculating largely caused the extreme spread of the virus amongst residents.Comment

1) My bet is they will find out this thing has been in NY since December...maybe even earlier
2) It had several months to get passed around via the subway, buses, and extremely dense population
3) Quarantine was probably pointless as the disease was already firmly entrenched by the time they finally did it.
4) Reports are that retirement homes were ordered to admit active Beer Flu patients. There's lots of finger pointing on this one with Cuomo saying it's the fault of the retirement homes and them saying it's city leadership fault."Kestryll I wanna lick your doughnut."

From what I understand, WSJ reported on the written order from Cuomo ordering nursing and assisted living homes to take Covid patients that were still testing positive, but could be released from the hospital.
NYC is listing cause of death CV without any testing to confirm. Nationwide if someone died with CV that is the same as dying from CV. Even if in hospice with a terminal disease.
Not only does NYC depend on the subways and buses, the city reduced the number of lines running so even though there were fewer riders they were packed into fewer available cars."Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." -Daniel WebsterComment

Quarantine was pointless in NY because they didn't really quarantine. They kept the damn subways going and busses and it was a major contaminated air space for riders, most of whom were not wearing masks.1) My bet is they will find out this thing has been in NY since December...maybe even earlier

A huge part of these people who think California wasn't hit very hard is because the stay in place orders actually kept people apart better here. In NY just to go get groceries etc it's common for people to use the public transportation. Just a petri dish to live in.Comment

I'm going to agree with #1 only and also have one caveat. The numbers are BS because they counted every death as covid.IMHO it will be shown after the dust clears that especially Manhattan but NY in general was infected largely due to two things. 1. Masks won't help people that have no hygiene habits.Comment

Might have something to do with millions of people living on top of one another.Comment
