Fact 1: The overwhelming majority of people do not have any significant risk of dying from COVID-19.

Fact 2: Protecting older, at-risk people eliminates hospital overcrowding.

Fact 3: Vital population immunity is prevented by total isolation policies, prolonging the problem.

Fact 4: People are dying because other medical care is not getting done due to hypothetical projections.

Fact 5: We have a clearly defined population at risk who can be protected with targeted measures.

Fact 6: More people are going to suffer and die world-wide from the economic disaster the blanket shutdowns have caused then will ever die from COVID-19.

Time to get back to school and work!

As far as Fact 6, that ship has sailed. The Panic has initiated a Second Great Depression. The burdens of this Depression will fall particularly hard on younger people, who, of course, were not significantly in danger from the Cornholevirus. So how do you think they will respond the State trashing their future to protect a very small number of elderly people? They are not going to be too concerned about the limited government ideals their hypocritical elders lectured them about right before they asked the government to lock up everybody because they were terrified of getting sick. The first Great Depression got us the New Deal, kneecapping limited government and advancing the idea of citizens as little better than wards of the State. What will the Second Depression get us?

No matter though, I'm sure everything we lose will be totally worth it. After all, people were scared.
