Yes, ignorant masses tend to accept & believe anyone who has many capital letters after their name. That's what impresses.

None out what you wrote about vaccines is necessarily true about this contagion.

2 or 3 sides of this story are trying to not let a crisis go to waste in an effort to support their position without facts.

Oh goddamn my rights, oh god damn black choppers, oh god damn extinction of the species, oh god damn the economy, oh god damn global elites.

There is no good news, if there were we would have been told.

if you dont become immune you would never be over it because you would be instantly re-infecting yourself

It doesn't need to, your body will stop producing antibodies in a matter of weeks to months if it responds to SARS-CoV2 like it does every other species of coronavirus.

You can catch exactly the same strain of common cold coronaviruses multiple times a year.

yeah, this is pretty damn worrisome. I just hope that having had the antibodies would significantly lessen the impact of a return visit, much like how people who got the flu shot tend to get much less severe flu infections if they do still get it.

                      Capo,

But the body has what are called memory T-cells. They are always on patrol, and while if the body goes a while without seeing a pathogen, that one was previously exposed to. T-cells will ramp up anti-body production. A2

Immune response, memory and antibody retention vary by pathogen. In the case of other coronavirus strains we know for a fact prior exposure doesn't confer any lasting immunity.

With this new strain there's still much we don't know. We don't know how long on average after initial infection clearance one is immune to re-exposure or whether or not subsequent infections will be reduced in duration or severity. Don't go with what you hope but with what we know.

By failing to prepare you are preparing to fail.

I've been trying to find papers on this. I'd like to understand why there is no lasting immunity to Corona viruses. Do the memory cells behave differently than for measles? Is it the antigenic parts of the virus changing so the old immunity doesn't recognize the new version?

One future concern is that due to the memory cell that do exist, future infections may have a more severe cytokine storm. Bad juju for sure.

The amount we don't know is very large.

                            Cleo,

The virus is just too new. Capo shows reasonable knowledge about the subject, but we are to early in the ballgame. Are these people in China that were infected, tested negative, and then tested positive again is it just a re-exposure, or what????????.
Too much information and mis-information being spread around. Those in China that might have been re-exposed may still experience viral growth in their respiratory tract. Until a mediated immune response has ramped up. A2
