    Mandatory quarantine in Texas

I flew to Houston on the 11th and was met at gate by Texas dps. I had to fill out ut and sign statement that I qUarantine in place for 14 days. I gave my picture ID and they checked it. I was checked on15th by dps investigator to make sure I was at location i put on form. Is this house arrest and were my rights violated?

It appears Texas isn't welcoming visitors at the moment. Can't blame them

They seem much more relaxed on their southern border. That should be their first focus.

We kind of gave you a heads up on this back in March right? The stormtroopers (TX Highway Patrol) rousted me for my papers in DFW on March 31 but I had a boarding pass for TN so they let me travel peacefully along my journey.

Yes, unless you have the virus they can't quarantine you. There is case law for this. They plan on dealing with any lawsuits later which is too late for anyone made to sit at home. When all said and done they will pat you on the head with an weeny apology claiming they only had your best interest at heart.

I think its standard practice for Texas to quarantine folks from California-well before C19.

They are terrified of California values infecting healthy Texas citizens. There already is a corridor of high infection rates of California values from Houston on up through Austin.

At least you were tagged with a GPS. I think it depends on the paperwork they gave you. What is the penalty for breaking quarantine?
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

                            Humor, kind of.

Try being single male driver in a vehicle with CA plates on I-10 at the border check point before El Paso.

Half the time I was doing that drive I would get the special treatment where they had me pull the vehicle to the more thorough inspection stations, took everything out of the vehicle and would let the dogs tear into the cushions and such. One time they pulled door panels and took out the back seat. They would leave it up to you to put the car/truck back together. They were not very polite either always asking me where I stashed my drugs. Keep in mind I keep clean cut and worked for a major Californial Oil Company and I had the logo hats, hard hat, logo on nomex and such.

I learned after the first time to not very carry much cash as they wanted to steel what I had saying it needed to be seized because the dog got a hit on it so it was likely drug money-circa 1995-1999. The I-10 Corridor in Louisiana was so famous it was on 60 minutes three times due to the revenuers steeling money and property for out of state travelers saying it was drug related. Once inside the state I loved it, except for he weather. I also learned that the Texicans do not consider Austin to be a part of Texas, but an occupied territory that the New Yorkers and Californians had conquered. That infection of California/New York values has now spread all the way down to Houston.

I still do not understand why someone moves out of California, giving up the great weather, to another state because they can not stand living in California, then immediately start voting/passing laws and electing leaders to make it more like California.

My inclination if driving would be to find an obscure route into the state if possible. Doesn't matter what state we are talking about, these Gestapo-like tactics must be avoided. Consider it like going to New Jersey with firearms. Did you speak to the DPS agent via cell phone? Tell the idiot anything you want. That form is basically recycled toilet paper.
