Most hospitals arent randomly testing. You have to meet certain criteria before they will test you. We have people drive up to our triage tents trying to get tested and storm away angry when they find out we dont test "just because"

The lady at the county dept of health said you need two symptom from the list, I had: fever, cough, aches/pains, sore throat, nausea, headache. Had been tested for strep and that was negative.

Even after I was confirmed +, my GF (who was in close contact for days) wasn't tested until after she had all the symptoms and a fever for nine days.

They are being very stingy with the tests for people that meet the criteria around here.

Same here. Wont test you unless you are already sick.

There was a bit of a kerfuffle when the news came out that Joe Rogan was paying for testing for all guests that were coming on his podcast.

Anybody that wants a COVID test right now can get one. You have to pay for it though; if you want "free" you'll have to wait.

Concierge-style medical services are offering them. Here's the one that Rogan is using ( LA area ):

You can get a "proper" PCR test or a (non-FDA approved) antibody test. $300. ( There may be, and probably are, cheaper options. For this one they come to your door. )

I haven't bothered getting ( antibody ) tested yet. When it's super cheap ( <$30 ) I'll probably give it a go...

day 26 since my fever broke and 16 days since I stopped feeling like crap with chronic fatigue. Feel fine now. At the time I had all the symptoms but the threshold was a temp of 103 and difficulty breathing...my temp was 102 so I was denied

I slugged it out at home. I would like to get the test to see if I "had" it and "if" I am now showing anti-bodies for cv19.

My son got tested, he could not return to work on base w/o it. He tested negative and was not allowed to return until his 14 day quarantine was up.

I saw a video of them sticking a Q-tip up some guys nose what looked like 5-6" deep. I'll wait until they come up with a better way to test than swabbing my brain pan.

I'm not sure if I already had a form of this flu. I was fairly sick for about a week in early January and I rarely get the flu. This was before I ever heard about the WuFlu.
