Fear sells. There is a boogeyman out there somewhere. Everyone stay inside your home and listen to my orders, or the boogeyman will kill you and eat your kids. Oh, and I need your money to pay the witch doctor, so she can make magic potion to protect you. Trust Me!

Then, there are doctors who dare to explain how exaggerated death rates are calculated:

If you're 90 with lots of health problems and you die after sudden hospitalization with a pneumonia syndrome when your other maladies did not have you on death's door just at that time, does that make Covid-19 fake news? Is it like voting - Democrats are gathering the certificates and filling in what they please? Or is it up to every individual doc to decide what to put down?

It would be nice to link us to direct info about what seems like a serious allegation.

If she has not been disbarred from practicing medicine, then she is qualified to express an opinion on medical matters.

Either the CDC is trying to boost the count of covid deaths or it is not. The messenger does not matter. Even if they were investigated by the FBI, and then left to carry on.

Being investigated by the same FBI that exonerated HRC, at around the same time might even add to this doctor's credence. Not being specific about what she was investigated for, and what the outcome was, amounts to an attempt to distract. When the messenger is attacked, it is often because the message is damaging to the other side, politically.

You don't have much to go on when you see something like this, other than that someone cared enough about *something* - and you can't be sure what - to make and post a video, or give a speech. So you have to use your human, media, internet, and political instincts to judge whether they are there to inform, or mislead. As well as engage their argument on the merits, you have to consider the source. Not being disbarred is a good start, but really doesn't begin to tell the story. Nor is being an MD much of a big credential.

I don't care what CDC is trying to do, nor do I assume they are nefariously attempting to upend the entire death certificate system in the country. What I care about is how much of a difference their guidance makes over what would happen otherwise. She doesn't answer that.

If your best credential for your conspiracy theory is a nutter with the FBI on their tail, it's not selling well.

I just googled her name to see some info about her practice.

So, post something about the nutter that undermines her credibility.

She is not the only source for that opinion about CDC death certification. If she had been the only one, you would have more of a point.

Here in part two, the doctor (in post #34) outs himself a "right wing conspiracy nut".
That might increase or decrease his credibility, depending on your personal bias:

Here's her own bio mentioning the FBI. Nothing per se wrong with any of it, but as I said, you don't have much to go on when trying to decide if some random person is worth listening to. Her talk was not informative or convincing, it was more in the vein of the usual "we all know what this means" conspiracy genre. That says to me, it's quite possible she knows her audience is other nutters.

Haven't watched that video carefully enough yet. I stopped part-way in because I couldn't give it full attention. I'm a right wing conspiracy nut by instinct, so in itself that's not a problem. If they're nutters it is.

So, you are a self-described nutter that does not like other nutters

                        As for the FBI:
That marked the latest in a string of inquiries that started last April. Apparently someone alleged abuse of patients or fraud with regard to Medicaid billing involving Bukacek's medical practice. Questions about praying with patients also have been raised.

Bukacek said she spent an hour and a half Wednesday with an FBI agent, a criminal investigator and two health-care fraud investigators, trying to get some answers about why her small practice was under scrutiny.

"They said they have to follow up every allegation made," Bukacek said. "I believe these individuals are people doing their job. I find no fault in them. But think about the federal capacity for harassment. Will I continue to get an average of one government investigation a month?"
If she was not convincing about the CDC, then she was not convincing. The FBI bit is neutral at best.

By the way, freespool, neither of us has any credibility on Calguns. A member does not count until they have over 2000 posts...

I'm a nutter alright, or so most Californians would probably say, but man you gotta step up to stand out in this crowd!
