Not to defend the gov, but it looks like the guy was selling more than Plaquenil and making some pretty unsubstantiated claims.

            Plaquenil prices in TJ . . .

            $3,995? In TJ, about 4 weeks ago I paid 580 pesos for 2 boxes of HCQ - about $14 apiece . . . What a ripoff.

Can anyone point to a peer reviewed study of the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine on Coronavirus?

The article isn't saying hydroxychloroquine is a fraud, just the defendant.

To add to this, the practice has to match the prescription. If your dentists starts prescribing high blood pressure meds. That would be inappropriate.

The Skinny Beach Med Spa is a Hormone Optimization clinic, whatever that is. So it has no business treating for hydroxychloroquine.

He added that if you take the medication without having the disease, “you’re immune for at least 6 weeks.” Staley referred to medication he offered as a “magic bullet,” and said, “It’s preventative and curative. It’s hard to believe, it’s almost too good to be true. But it’s a remarkable clinical phenomenon.”

Conflicting recommendations exist related to which facial protection should be used by health care workers to prevent transmission of acute respiratory infections, including pandemic influenza. We performed a systematic review of both clinical and ...

Rationale: Drug-resistant tuberculosis transmission in hospitals threatens staff and patient health. Surgical face masks used by patients with tuberculosis (TB) are believed to reduce transmission but have not been rigorously tested. Objectives: We ...

N95 masks block 95% of sub 0.3micron particles, surgical masks block about 65%, and a properly made (material selection and coverage design) cotton mask can do as high as 75%.

Lessons from SARS1 show that droplets (~1-8 microns in one study) are the main issue, surpassing "naked" virus particles as a threat. Droplets can be caught on exhale in a surgical mask.

The principle behind the implementation of masks is trapping the virus in potential spreaders, and was key in Taiwan's success against COVID-19. They used disposable surgical masks.

You can't inhale the virus if nobody is exhaling the virus first.

I like how you add properly selected material and design though. Considering health orders like Alemeda County state that t-shirt material is acceptable

I think it has to be 180 or higher thread count tight-weave fabric in at least 2 layers, wide coverage and tight fit.

I have no doubt that WW2 America households could deliver those kinds of masks easily, complete with patriotic slogans and Norman Rockwell art. Today we have a bunch of virtue signaling ninnies complaining instead of stepping up and delivering the goods.
