Well, that depends on what you mean by "worked".. If do you mean did the liberal left, lame-stream media outlets, and other fearful types manage to blow an unfortunate virus up into something to damage Trump - then YES! It worked crazy-well because of how many people seem to hate Trump.

This whole Covid-19 is the same kind of thing that H1N1 and SARS were - and now proving out to be no more dangerous. Think about it... Why isn't there anyone dying of the regular flu (that they made the shot for this year?) or dying of pneumonia?? I'll tell you why - those deaths are being attributed to Covid-19 in an attempt to artificially inflate the statistics so they can weaponize them against Trump.

If things play out properly, the chinese will be crying in their bat soup over the USA waking up to the danger of having to depend on an enemy for vital health supplies. We need to make it a priority to bring these industries back to OUR country.

Politically, this election should be a slam-dunk for Trump since the liberal-left has taken the bait so hard that all they've spent the last 3.5 years doing is pursuing fruitless investigations against Trump, and other creative ways to remove him from office. Ans look at how much he's still managed to accomplish.

I'm gonna let the secret out on how the left (could have) defeated Trump.. Instead of slamming the guy 24/7/365 - maybe you all should have been working on your OWN solutions to the problems facing our nation. You win by having BETTER IDEAS - not by stoking more hate..

Fast forward ~40 days and SK grew by 3500 cases while Italy added 171k. Italy now how has tested its population at over twice the rate per million SK has.

Just goes to show that early quick all out response is the least cost option.. we fiddled around and the danger was minimized at almost every turn. Our response has been unquestionably terrible.. and it continues to be.. people are wanting to come out of social distancing too soon.. you can look to 1918 to see what happens when people do that. Second wave is coming if they get their way.

The charts here are excellent for 1918 influenza:

Even New York hospitals are not overwhelmed so what's the problem? If they don't want a 2nd wave then sure, have them social-distance and keep everything closed.

The rest of the country has the opposite problem: Hospitals closing, staff being laid off. Not enough work!

So hide indoors until the herd is infected, what's the problem? Some of the rest of us feel the cure is worse than the problem. Carry on.

Where were you when the last flu pandemic hit? SARS, H1N1, MERS?

There won't be another shutdown, this thing is over. Summer is right around the corner and it will kill off both the Flu and Covid whether want it to or not. It has always been thus.

Are you dense, or just trying to be funny? Airborne and human to human transmissions are very different. If it was airborne, you could be all alone for a year on top of a mountain and catch it. If it is human to human transmission, you must be near an infected person to catch it. The medical person is using a nasal swab to access a mucus membrane because that is where the virus lives. If you get the virus on your hands and touch your face, it has access to a mucus membrane, but it is more likely you would get it from your head being constantly inserted into another mucus membrane. It is more than a little sad that this needs to be explained to you.
