This has an easy solution. Have China collect the bats and just ship the infected bats to the USA for research. That way we don't have to waste taxpayer money giving grants to these foreign labs to do research on SARS (and now COVID-19). Bring these jobs back to the USA!!
That way in the USA the virology labs at the universities and government facilities will be next door to clean dry-markets like Walmart or maybe a Panera Bread. Its like a bonus!
Then we just need to tell China and other Asian countries to stop researching these coronavirus pandemics like SARS that keep killing their citizens, because it makes us uncomfortable. Viruses escape western labs too throughout history but somehow its just...different...when it escapes an Asian lab. Sort of scary-red-rifle-science or something. Plus they were just competing with the USA. As we know, no competition goes on in western science, so its much better to do it here where motivations are purely altruistic.

else about it, don't you realize PEOPLE ARE DYING??? Its not time for messing around with these things and (I can't even believe I have to say this) MUTATING these horrible viruses to see what happens??? Experiments??? Infecting animals with the viruses ON PURPOSE to see what happens??
Now get to it developing this vaccine and figuring out how we can stop these viruses and where they come from. Do whatever it takes. Even send money to labs near where the viruses originate. Oh wait..
