Conversely, If you dispense alcohol from the foam dispenser, you need less, it's harder to dry, which is good cause it actually makes you rub your hands longer.

      So the alcohol lasts longer.

Im using perfume ethyl alcohol from ebay, much more available than Isopropyl.

I got one of these used canisters from work, works great...

What are you guys all using the IPA for? I'm just curious. Perhaps to sterilize a site before insulin injection, etc?

In the hospitals, they typically use bleach for pretty much everything other than on the human body.

I am wiping out my fork and spoon at work for lunch, also wipe out coca cola cans. For everything else I am using UVC lights, Microban 24 Hours and disinfection wipes.

I had read that the alcohol kills the virus much quicker than bleach. I do not remember exactly how long the bleach was said to take, Between 2 and 3 min. While the alcohol is said to be able to destroy the virus in 30 seconds from passive contact and even faster if you are wiping or rubbing. Lysol I think can kill the virus but you would have to keep the surface 'WET' with the lysol for at least 10 minutes.

A note on the salt solution to concentrate the alcohol.
When I tried spraying some on my hands I noticed it felt different, it felt a bit slick, slippery. It seems that the alcohol does retain just a little bit of salt. I usually use the alcohol in a small spray bottle and spray down stuff like my mouse, keyboard, phone, door knobs etc. I notice that it leaves a very thin salt residue behind on surfaces. Not crazy about that but if you do not have the proper 70% min product then it is handy in a pinch.

I did the zip lock bag thing as well, I think that is about the best method.
