No, The FAA is just super strict on the use of substances for pilots including meds. And they are covering their ***. Though I think the stewardesses should be using it. (No I will not say, flight attendant)

By the way, just discovered a fantastic facebook page

Do you really think someone taking treatment for Covid-19 would be flying an effing commercial airplane

Well sure....apply obvious common sense to a Doh thread why don't you.
What do you call the people that abandoned the agenda of John Kennedy and adopted the agenda of Lee Oswald?

        Pronouns: "Dude" and "Playa".

So they have to wait 48 hours after the last dose then they can resume flying. Sounds like real scary stuff that can do permanent damage, amiright?

NEWS FLASH: They have more severe pilot restrictions for weed smoking, so I guess that makes smoking weed more dangerous than hydroxychloroquine if we extrapolate CNN logic.

rumors of HC spiked with fentanyl to cause panic and discourage use.

The normal usage of it in the US is for lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. There probably is at least one commercial pilot who has an Rx for it.

Pretty sure this is complete bullstih. Here's a link I posted over a week ago on how this drug is safe to use in all trimesters of pregnancy for malaria prophylaxis.

I have taken this as malaria prophylaxis on at least a dozen occasions. This during my time as a flight engineer in the USAF. The rules were no meds at all unless the flight doc prescribed them. Tylenol and Advil were a no no, even though people cheated on that.

Yes, I flew to areas of Africa endemic with malaric mosquitoes and we all took this medication by prescription of the flight doc, pilots included.

I call bull****, someone at the FCC is playing fing games.

Edit: Yep, there it is, bullcrap. This buried in your CNN propaganda for the weak minded.
FAA does allow limited exceptions for pilots with arthritis to take small doses of hydroxychloroquine. It says pilots who take the medication but meet a number of other criteria may take an eye examination and receive a special certification.

Edit 2: This is ridculous. Maximum propaganda against this president, and it could harm people. This from a list of acceptable meds WRT flight physicals and medical clearance to fly.
Anti-Malarial – The following medications are acceptable for malaria prophylaxis: A 24 hour “adverse effect” observation period should be observed prior to flight.

                            Chloroquine Phosphate

I'm actually a bit shocked that the FAA, a flight safety organization, would politicize something like this. This is pretty bad.
