I wasn't really paying attention but isn't it 5 minutes for a positive or like 15 for a negative? So truly for like 96 tests a day unless everyone is testing positive?

I will stand for truth even if I stand alone.

Apparently there are a few public labs that didn't know they have the machines. I wonder what union represents those labs?

I guess it's not really 5 minutes for positive if you have to wait the 15 minutes to make sure.

Lets just say 3 tests and hour x 18,000 machines = 54,000 per hour or 1.29 million a day.

Considering only 3 million tests have been conducted that would be a big deal. The reports of 5-15 minute tests clearly are over stated. There is something in the loop not enabling a million tests a day as the reports might suggest.
              1. Compared to what?
              2. At what cost?
              3. What hard evidence do you have?

If you caught last nights presser, Pence said that the high speed Roche systems are 20% under utilized right now, and the Abbott PCR test is almost completely unused around the nation. He said if we could get those into use we could literally double capacity over night.

I know Birx made a comment about the Abbott PCR tests last week, saying there were half a million tests for those around the country not being utilized. The explanation she gave sounded like the issue is lab personnel not being familiar with the Abbott machine. This is not the little toaster size machine that you have been discussing here.

Tucker had Dr. (IforgetHisName) on last night, and he took the 5-minute test on the show. They mentioned the same thing. That equates to four tests per hour per machine, at the most. And yet, they happily discuss everyone in the country being able to get tested soon. No mention of throughput. It is all hype!
