Dr. Stephen Smith can't statistic his way out of a paper bag. The claims he makes in that article are unsupportable.

This isn't to say there's no hint it might work, and might even work well, but Dr. Fauci is correct -- the evidence isn't there yet. Don't stop working on Plan B.

Did they? Or were they just 'deaths'? How is France separating covid from regular pneumonia or lower respiratory infections?

One problem is you have to start taking it before the damage has been done. If you show up at a hospital barely able to breathe, it may well be too late to help large percentage of patients. Starting the regime at the first signs is a lot different.

The question that was asked was what treatment is the best, not how effective it is. So if hydroxychloroquine resolves 5% of cases and sugar (next best option, for example) cures 4%, then hydroxychloroquine would be the most highly rated treatment
