noting that Taiwan had to face coronavirus on its own because it was excluded from the WHO.

The WHO is nothing more than an incompetent puppet of China.

Below is a tweet from the WHO in mid January.

Thanks for this. We also need to dig up the words of the CDC head when he was saying the Jan 29 US travel ban from China was unnecessary.

Then when this is over we hang the head of the CDC.

This covid-19 is a first world problem because with china...the entire civilized first world let itself think that china's technology and money somehow equated to being civilized... and it clearly does not.

I have been saying this for years...the enemy has been china not Russia! BOYCOTT ALL THINGS CHINESE!!!

"It was only a matter of time before the coronavirus pandemic started to show a rupture in Western relations with China. Today, the market got some of the first hints of a rising probability of “decoupling”. Evidence came today in the form of two BBC reports, one of the U.K. government of Boris Johnson (who has COVID-19 now) saying there would be ramifications for China failing to share how they stopped the virus from spreading. One such punishment was getting rid of Huawei in their 5G program. Over the weekend, the Daily Mail reported that the Johnson team doubted China’s SARS-CoV-2 infection count, which totals around 81,000, saying they were probably off by a factor of 40."

The United Kingdom’s government, led by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, is reportedly “furious” with China, and has pledged a “reckoning” for the country’s “disinformation campaign,” which U.K. officials believe downplayed the number of Chinese coronavirus cases by “15 to 40” times.Business Insider reports that Johnson’s government is the first to suggest that China could face economic consequences for the coronavirus, which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan.“UK government officials are accusing China of spreading disinformation about the severity of the coronavirus outbreak in its borders,” the outlet says, adding that officials believe China’s reported number of coronavirus cases — just over 81,000 — is far too low, and that the real number of cases could be “15 to 40 times” official Chinese reports. In the United States, a battle has raged in “woker” circles over whether it is appropriate to refer to the novel coronavirus, officially known as COVID-19, as a “Chinese” virus, a “Wuhan” virus, or the “Chinese coronavirus.” But certain officials in the United Kingom say China’s involvement in the global pandemic should be front and center, especially as the world deals with an incredible economic fallout from lockdowns and other measures designed to curb the spread of the disease.“It was the case … [that] the first case of coronavirus in China was established in December of last year, but it was also the case that some of the reporting from China was not clear about the scale, the nature, the infectiousness of this,” the U.K.’s Minister for the Cabinet Office Michael Gove told the BBC late last week.“It is going to be back to the diplomatic drawing board after this,” a Johnson administration official, who declined to give a name, told Radio Free Asia. “Rethink is an understatement.”“There has to be a reckoning when this is over,” another said. A third added, “the anger goes right to the top,” suggesting that Johnson himself is making plans to alter official policy towards China in response to the coronavirus pandemic.Last month, the U.K. announced that Chinese telecommunications company Huawei would be given a role in developing the nation’s 5G mobile phone network — an agreement that shocked the world, given China’s penchant for widespread espionage and its lack of concern for privacy. That agreement, though, could be first on the chopping block after the coronavirus smoke clears, per BI.“We’re allowing companies like Huawei not just into our economy, but to be a crucial part of our infrastructure. This needs to be reviewed urgently, as does any strategically important infrastructure that relies on Chinese supply chains,” a British cabinet minister reportedly told the British weekly, Mail on Sunday.China has tried to ingratiate itself to a suffering Europe by offering Chinese-made medical supplies, including masks, personal protective equipment, and even coronavirus tests to struggling countries like Italy, France, and Spain. But, the BBC reports, thousands of Chinese-made tests have proven unreliable, and hundreds of thousands of masks and other pieces of PPE are now on their way back to China after countries like the Netherlands discovered the masks lacked filters and did not fit properly.

WHO Director General: Don't spread fear and stigma with travel bans

The Director General of the World Health Organisation (WHO) has called on countries not to impose travel and trade restrictions over the coronavirus, warning that such measures could increase “fear and stigma” within the international community.

“We reiterate our call to all countries not to impose restrictions that unnecessarily interfere with international travel and trade. Such restrictions can have the effect of increasing fear and stigma, with little public health benefit,” Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Tuesday during a briefing to the UN’s executive board in Geneva.

They are at that. I remember in early February, this quote from the old sea hag Pelosi. Yea, Trump has said some stupid ****, but he took some initiative long before the Democrats lifted a finger to do anything but try and use social justice to make him look bad.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was one of a number of top Democrats to rip into President Trump’s decision to expand the travel ban to include six more countries on Friday -- with Pelosi describing it as “discrimination disguised as policy.”

Clearly Trump downplayed the impact of this virus.

Trump should announce the US will no longer host the UN in 5 years. Give them time to find another country to suck off of.

Between the Security Council, the Peacekeepers and now the WHO, the UN has proven it's ineptness. Let someone else fund and host the fiasco. Most likely it will cease to exist.

He'll catch hell from all sides, mostly from countries leeching off the UN, and of course the democrats.

Being 5 years out he won't make the final decision. The next President will. Should be a major topic in the election.

Unfortunately very doubtful this will ever happen but it does seem Trump-like. The US would be the big winner.

Taiwan took early steps and thus far has 5 deaths from the China virus. F0ckn WHO won't allow Taiwan to join because of China influence, so all the experience and medical expertise from fighting the virus can not be shared with other member countries.

China communist does not care about how many people die, it's all about their political agenda.
