EDIT: My friend passed from the after three weeks on a ventilator. He was one of those guys with a big smile and booming voice. After working together for a number of years and being in a number of dicey situations together, to be taken out by a virus is ironic, if that's the right word.

Did not miss it, as I noted above. It's not an "underlying condition" for pneumonia, never has been, and quite daft to think the two are related.
