YOU decide to have children and then complain the first damn time something goes a little wrong and YOUR kid has to stay home and suddenly YOU have feed him, YOU have to educate him, YOU have to spend the day with him, YOU have to put up with your kid's mouth, YOU have to deal with your kid's psychological problems and YOU have to take some responsibility for the monster YOU created.

In an age when most kids don't eat supper at the dinner table with their parents, when less than 20% are career or college ready, when most high school students graduate WITHOUT their driver's licenses, and many parents bounce THEIR kids from household to household on a weekly basis... all of a sudden, YOU'RE "concerned" about the "trimester" they will miss? We let me break some news to YOU: public schools work on a "quarter/semester" system. YOUR kid is going to miss one lousy quarter of school at the END of the year when ALL the AP kids have already covered all the material needed and were either reviewing or have just taken their AP tests, when college applications and SAT tests were due way back in December/January and THOSE lucky few who have been accepted to colleges and universities have already received their letters...
You must of forgot about FFA kids with projects in limbo and animals being raised, oh and the seniors for it will be their last quarter in high school.

Step back and think of more aspects.

In my area, University closed. That's means a ton of vacant student housing and mortgages not getting payed.

Many of them are also being creative and trying to assign meaningful work---many also understand that it's not intended to replicate or replace direct instruction. Teachers are getting a better understanding on how this affecting families and how to adjust. Many kids are scared or worried, so the effort teachers are putting by connecting with them or connecting them with their peers in class is helping.

They're a lot of teachers trying and doing their best. Everyone is learning and adapting to distance learning. Lots of teachers have kids or lost daycare with little one's as well.

Of course not all teachers are this way, you have your bad applies. Tell me one profession that does not have any.

Well I wish I had just one teacher growing up (or in college, or at work, or as acquaintances, or as clients) that did not shame me for having conservative values.
