I concur. Work for a school district as well. Many teachers I work with are going above and beyond, including doing instruction via Zoom and/or "office hours" for parents and students to connect with them. Many of them are also being creative and trying to assign meaningful work---many also understand that it's not intended to replicate or replace direct instruction. Teachers are getting a better understanding on how this affecting families and how to adjust. Many kids are scared or worried, so the effort teachers are putting by connecting with them or connecting them with their peers in class is helping.
They're a lot of teachers trying and doing their best. Everyone is learning and adapting to distance learning. Lots of teachers have kids or lost daycare with little one's as well.
Of course not all teachers are this way, you have your bad applies. Tell me one profession that does not have any.Comment

Well I wish I had just one teacher growing up (or in college, or at work, or as acquaintances, or as clients) that did not shame me for having conservative values.Comment
