I think with the accelerated timelines around the vaccination development we will see one approved by end of summer, and even though they won't be able to mass produce enough to really help in the fall, it will help keep the panic down and by that time no one is going to be concerned with the 30~50k deaths that already happened from this and the media will lose it's big scary narrative.

Plus we can hope for positive results from chloroquine to help tamp down public panic and restore some normalcy.

We can also hope that by mid may we have tested 5~10 million people, maybe more, and find how widespread it is and what the real fatality rate is (under 1%, possibly like the flu at .1%), and isolate only the sick and not the whole damn country.

Flip side to being a leader in testing, which we will above all countries, means that we will also likely have much higher counts of infections, which will be weaponized to the extent it can to smear POTUS and our healthcare system as inferior in the short term, the victory of mass cheap testing will be remade as how badly the US failed to contain the outbreak. That's happening now.

Those not on the panic train will see the facts of how small a percentage of those tested have the infection, and how of those a large percentage had almost no symptoms, a small percentage will have bad symptoms and a tiny, tiny percentage will not survive it, just like the seasonal flu.

Then of course there are the 'resistors' who will count deaths due to other conditions as deaths from WuFlu to inflate the numbers as they know there's little chance of being caught.

The momentum of the panic train can't last forever and the media loses control of the narrative.

Agree with everything you say except the death rate. It’s pegged at 1.5% 15-30x higher than influenza 0.1-0.05%. Massive testing worked in Japan and Singapore but it worked with total infringement on freedom, they tracked people on GPS, they published infected names and addresses. Not happening here yet.

Social isolation works but we’d need to continue till next year. IMHO not feasible.

Sorry that I can't offer facts / just opinions.

It is my opinion without known details / facts that a country in Europe in the 1920's tried to print there way out of the economic state they were in. I was always moved by the anecdotal story that a butcher and his wife who saved for 17 years so their son could go to college. When that time came they took all the money out of the bank and used it to buy him dinner at a nice restaurant before he was enlisted in their army. The product over over printing is inflation, hyper inflation is what a lot of people will fear when they talk about printing trillions month after month? God help us if the US ever enters a state of hyper inflation. SHTF will be real.

Conversely in the 1920's the US suffered a state of depression and the powers that be thought creating new money would be a huge mistake, we had 25% unemployment and people couldn't pay any bills - they sold anything and everything to try and keep a roof of their heads - we suffered deflation where as everything lost value because people had to sell to raise cash. The government / FED didn't print any. We really only got out of it thanks to WWII.

Please, don't judge me. Can you tell me why this isn't feasible. I'm not very smart when it comes to economics.

What's going to stop it? You are asking the wrong question. It won't stop until mid next year, after it has run it's course. vaccs will be available by that time, but much like H1N1, it will disappear on it's own for the most part.

When it's all over and the science is in, my money is on an event that was not much worse than the flu, and the media, the WHO and the CDC created a global panic to weaponize it against Trump.

Never in history has a pandemic been handled like this. What changed? We know the WHO put out vastly exaggerated fatality numbers in early March of 3.4%. This after a mid January announcement by the WHO that the Chinese said this was not human transmissible. Would the Chinese want to leverage this to get rid of Trump? Any other global powers?

I can't disagree with any of this. We've seen how deranged the Dem congress has been since Inauguration Day. They only reason they're quiet now is because they've run out of cards. And you know damn well WHO and rest of the globalists absolutely HATE the President. It's well know that the UN has a global agenda; it's also true that we don't get anything close to real news.

This is, and will continue to be, a true battle of good vs evil. My money is on the USA and the American people. Not all of them but enough to turn it around.

Developing a vaccine is a race against time. Remember Ebola vaccine development took 5 years and some are still in progress in 2020. To achieve anything in a year or so is a miracle.

And yes with less than 1% morality rate, it might be overhyped. But better take some precautions and make them part of your everyday life.

Herd immunity. Eventually enough people will get the virus and hopefully there will be a viable vaccine so that the infection rate will be manageable and SIP measures can be lifted. But that could be months away. As long as people are spreading it and herd immunity is low, as soon as SIP is lifted there will be a spike. But hopefully the healthcare system will be able to manage it better. Time will tell. I had to go to the gocery store today, and I can tell you, very few people are taking this thing seriously. Its really a joke. Its going to take off as soon as SIP is lifted.
