    In order to properly compare the flu numbers to C19 numbers you need the same period of time - in this case, 1 year.

    Additionally, a true flu to C19 comparison would not include the precautions taken.

    2. The C19 number is with:

    - Stay at Home orders
    - N95, masks, social distancing, hand washing, etc. as widespread precautions.
    Screw it, the weak die, the strong live. Death is all around, as soon as you are born you start going bad, just like bread. When your number is up, that's it. Suck it up buttercup. Continue the mission, MAGA!

      So let's say with no precautions, this virus would take 2 million over a year. And the regular flu takes 50k a year. So this virus is 40 times worse than a year living with the flu around. Well, I've lived 40+ years and the flu has never really concerned me, not even enough to get a flu shot. So this virus doesn't concern me personally either in that way.

      There are other concerns with this virus, older people and regular hospital services getting interrupted. But that doesn't make this virus as bad as the black death.

            He didn't want the social distancing measures lifted yet...Trump has extended them.

            He's said that 100k - 200K deaths could occur in the U.S...Trump didn't dispute that in yesterday's presser, in fact, indicated that 100K would be "good."

            He feels that hydroxychloroquine needs further study...Trump has backed off touting the drug to the extend that he was.

            Seems to me that Fauci and Trump have a love-hate relationship.

            .
            The flip side of that is -

            Why do people like you hold Fauci in awe, think he is infallible, and ignore his mistakes and missed projections?
            ... The liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
            * Creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
            * Satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
            * Augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
            * Rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government
