Well if you read the 2.2 trillion hand out and the prior mandatory ten week sick leave obligation a "claim" of a fever gets you full pay on the couch for ten weeks. I suspect a lot of "flu" like symptoms will be hitting people shortly - believe its considered to hit after 4/2 so give it another week before it really kicks in.

As for the lawlessness of NY. Its going to be pretty bad as I don't think they enjoy the same levels of private gun ownership as we do.

They have over 35,000 officers so I think it will be a while before lawlessness breaks out (more so than any other given day.)

This is probably a product of their union contracts, and trying to abide by the governors social distancing requirements. For example, a lot of large companies in CA now have requirements that if you are sick with flu like symptoms you have to stay home for two weeks after your symptoms go away. You only use you sick pay while you are sick. Paid time off for the next two weeks. We have a lot of people at my work who are doing the same. And most people not are not sick at all. Go figure. Everyone wants free .gov cheese!

If we reopen the economy the likelihood decreases dramatically. The fact that the models used to close the economy have been dramatically wrong by the admission of Nial Ferguson and the fact he says the hospitals in UK can handle the load is lost on everyone in the midst of the panic being driven by the media hoping for maximum damage.
