The democrats will have super-charged the economy with a $1T stimulus, plus a fast recovery, plus 0% fed rate. Greed is going to set in fully replacing panic and the market will rally hard with the quick resolution.

Why would they need to test a drug that has already been tested? Chloraquine came out in the 1940's and it has been tested before.

The FDA said they need to confirm the data themselves and develop the appropriate dose for treating Corona. Slow and lame.

I'm sure the forces of evil are also working to delay the cheap chloroquine antidote because they'd rather sell hundreds of Millions of expensive new vaccine shots instead

I can see the FDA dragging out their "data confirmation" and "testing" for months.

I think chloraquine has been used to treat people who already have CV. Apparently, it reduces the symptoms and shortens the duration of CV infection.

What I read, but there may be more data uncovered, is that massive doses can trigger death for patients with cardiovascular disease. I fear that many are getting it over the counter without a doctor's advice, many with cardiovascular disease.

Anecdote on the Laura Ingraham show was a man with Corona on the verge of death in ICU was brought back like Lazarus from the dead after receiving chloroquine.

Bayer company just donated over 1 million doses so the CDC is sitting on the Cure right now and that needs to be dispersed immediately.

Because like most drugs there are side effects and risks,
sometimes to isolated groups and proper dosages to be determined.

They didn't test a drug on a novel virus that popped up 6 mo. ago in the 40's.

NY State gave an interesting stat 18% of 107 cases require hospitalization.

So, those 107 cases were probably symptomatic to begin with to be tested. So if 20% of people have symptoms and 18% of those need hospitalization, then a low estimate is 3.6% of all people will need hospitalization. For the higher estimate, what IF 50% feel symptoms and 18% need hospitalization, then that is 9%.

So a much better range estimate of how many are going to need hospitalization is 3.6-9.0% instead of the previously estimated 20%.

And if those 3.6-9.0% are just prescribed chloroquine, it probably quickly becomes less than 1% =)

the FDA has been a disaster in the past.
read about what they were up to in the early days of HIV.

You do realize that was in the 80s - most if not all of that staff is long gone.

On the news, the FDA is expected to take 6 months to approve the production of new needed ventilators. Sounds like they are worse, not better.

That may have been under normal circumstances but in this emergency I bet it will be shorter -much shorter
