This is one of my Biggest Fears. I live in Livermore about 500 yards from the Homeless Encampments along 580. The Trash piles They pull out of that **** hole and stack for for garbage collection is ridiculous.
Every morning you can smell and see the Camp fires on the way to work.
Prayers for everyone's homes , Bussinesses , People and especially the First responders who dont get enough credit.

The fire was about 2 1/2 - 3 miles away from us, and the wind was blowing directly from the fire. It rained ash here for a couple of hours before the wind shifted and blew the smoke and ash to the south. It gave us a bit of a scare. I had several hundred feet of garden hoses stretched out, as did a number of neighbors.

There were at least 3 helicopters dropping water, 3 or 4 S-2 air tankers, and at one point there were 2 jet tankers.

I didn't know they pulled crews off of the Caldor Fire. I know they pulled crews from the Airola Fire which is only minutes away.

I'll bet those crews are already back at the Caldor Fire.

Depending on when we get rain, there are about 2 more months of fire season left, and those are the two worst months of the fire season.

I hope everyone who lives in fire prone areas continues to dodge the monster.
