Yes most 870 butt stocks will fit on the 1100 as long as it doesn't collapse (see Sage Sidewinder). As far as forends go, I've only seen the factory checker'd and surefire light.

        I'm still modding my 1187.
cant seem to get it to run right.
the stem that comes out of the back of the reciever is full of mud(as was the rest of the gun when I bought it).

Even if I remove the pin in the stem, the spring won't release.

Not sure what to do at this point.

The Remington 1100 is too nice of a gun to "TAC" out!

If they're in poor condition, I consider them fair game.

I picked up a pristine 1100 before my 87. It was too nice to even shoot. So it was sold to look for something more project oriented.

              1100

this was in need of some TLC when I bought it. A little elbow grease and this is what I found under all those years of use.

Not "tacticool", but pretty nice just the same.

                Looks nice.

Only thing I did was add an extension so it holds 10 for when I'm out playing.

They do make tri-rails and quad rails too. See the Minotaur and Bulldozer.

Anyway around, modding a 1100/1187 should start with an oversized safety, tactical charging handle, speed loader, and the proper choke tube if necessary.

Here's a 1100 I built a few years back, the barrel is an un-cut 21" factory barrel with a full choke and vent rib I found on eBay. I installed a speed loader, tactical charging handle, trigger job with oversized safety button, magazine extension, Speed Feed stock and forend and had the internals np3 coated by Robar; it's very reliable. The 870 below it was fully customized by Robar.

My 30 year old 1100 Skeet-T has been sitting in a gun safe since the last time I shot in competition (1985).
I figured now was a good of a time as any to "tac it up".

Removed the original wood and added a Choate Mark 5 synthetic stock (13" LOP so the wife can shoulder it) and a Remington synthetic fore end.
Replaced the 26" skeet barrel with a Remington Competition Master 22".
Added a G&G operating handle and a Tac +3 mag tube.
I wasn't going to add the breaching choke tube, but when the wife saw it, she said "you HAVE to put that badas* thing on the gun" (and she must be obeyed).

Took it into the shop and had them replace all of the springs, the pistons, and the O-Ring.

                          Range report this weekend.

Ran 100 rounds, buck and slugs.
                            Shoots like a dream.

Just for the fun of it. I wanted to see how it would look after I installed the mag tube and stock..
