Woox Gladiatore Stock & Fore End Kit for Remington 870

The Woox Gladiatore shotgun stock & fore ends were debuted at SHOT 2023. Probably one of the cleanest looking 'tactical' wood furniture out there for a shotgun.

There's a number of pictures and some videos on the web with Mossberg 500/590 shotguns that have the Woox furniture on it, but surprisingly no pictures or anything for the 870. I decided to bite the bullet and get the kit for my 870 and here's my thoughts:
    • Extremely nice looking kit with real wood and it fits well
    • The LOP and cheek riser on the stock makes it really comfortable
    • Has a similar look & feel to the Magpul SGA kit
    • The M-LOK on the fore end is really nice
    • Quality of the wood stippling is nice

My only gripe.... it's very slippery feeling in my hands, especially when I'm coming from a Magpul SGA stock & fore end with sandpaper grip tape on it. From the pictures, it looks like the stippling would be aggressive & grippy, but it's not that deep so it's feel smoother to the touch.

I haven't shot it yet, and will most likely put my Magpul furniture back on because of this. I have larger hands so I could probably grip it tightly, or get some tacky/grippy gloves to wear, but since it's one of my primary HD/SD guns I don't want to mess with that stuff.

Still, nice eye candy on the 870. Just wish the wood stippling was more aggressive & grippy.

For a 'side by side' comparison, this is how my 870 is normally setup. The Woox LOP is similar to my SGA setup, and so is the grip angle.

Besides it being a slick surface to hold, it's actually very comfortable and ergo friendly.
