My First SG: Hawk Model 982

My first Shotgun, just plain basic 12GA, with the heat shield installed. I got it from Big 5 a few weeks ago. Haven't had time to shoot it yet. Here are some pictures:

Heat shield looks nice. Which one is it, and where did you get it?

Thanks. Heat shield is made by Tac Star, and it's metal too. From eBay.

I didn't get the great discount like other members paid, so I paid $299+Tax & DROS. But I still buy it because of the good reviews.

Nice, I am debating between this and the usual 870/500 for my next purchase. My local big 5 didn't have it in stock so I have not been able to handle it yet. Let us know how she shoots!

Yeah, it was out of stock everywhere, but I found the last one in Dublin.

just curious....do you find the buttstock "rough"? I did a session of buckshot (60 rounds) and by the end of the session...i had a nickel size bruise on the right side of my cheek.
