replacement stock for windchester 1300 defender

I was given a 1998 1300 defender that only has the pistol grip on it. debating weather to find a standard stock for it or something tactical. I generally do not like tactical conversions but this might be the best way to go.

Why would "tactical be the "best way to go"? Unless that is what you are looking for.

There are still replacement stocks available for these from various sources.

Length adjustably and so many possible stock parts interchange. I would be perfectly happy with a quality synthetic replacement stock with a pad on the back.

How often will you need to adjust the LOP? Is your wife or any other REGULAR user significantly smaller then you?

While I do have a pistol grip on my 1300 (done with the specific intention of making it as short as possible) I prefer regular stocks as I feel they give the most flexibility in use. Hunting, skeet, quick butt stroke in a HD situation, etc.

This is also why I prefer the folding stock I have over a straight pistol grip. So that if necessary I can quickly reconfigure the weapon for longer range shots.

I got a recoil reducing Knox stock with a side saddle I'd sell you if you want.

I have a NIB Hogue overmolded stock made for it. $45 shipped in Ca.

I got a chance to shoot one of those Knoxx stocks and personally I wouldn't recommend one, unless that is you like getting punched in the cheek with every shot.

The Hogue stock is excellent. The recoil pad is top notch!!
