I responded on the other thread in GENERAL GUN DISCUSSIONS.
Take them to Pacific Sporting Arms in Azusa and ask John this question. This is their website;
We are an authorized dealer for the Krieghoff, Perazzi, Blaser, Beretta, Benelli, Caesar Guerini, Fabarm, Perugini Visini, Grulla, Dickinson, and more.
These guns may cost more than some cars. No room for guesswork.
Good luck.Last edited by RedFord150; 01-19-2015, 5:04 PM.

Yep, if you have shotguns and want to know their value, John will know.I responded on the other thread in GENERAL GUN DISCUSSIONS.

My guess would be an early 682,20OOPS....I meant to say 12, not 20 gauge. Box looks similar to an Americase, but I'm not seeing a rubber seal on it and the latches are different, so I don't think it's Americase. Those boxes are a pretty penny too.
I would do the same though, go see John and his crew at PSA in Azusa.Last edited by Revoman; 01-20-2015, 5:24 PM.Comment

Based on the plain wood and glossy finish of the original stock portion, and the Schnable forend, I'm guessing a later 686 Black Onyx. The early 686 BO had a steel grip cap rather than the square knob, and a flat finish on the wood. If it's an original 20 ga, it can't be a 682 because those only came in 12. Model will be stamped on the bottom of the frame, so no great mystery once you have the gun in hand. Those blue lids look like Beretta MobilChoke containers, but looks like a complete set, so that's good. The butt stock looks like a JS Air Cushion from Joe Shiozaki in Azuza, right down the road from Pacific Sporting Arms. Nice replacement wood is available from several sources, including Rich Cole in Maine. Pacific Sporting probably has some factory take-off wood if you want to get rid of the air cushion.Comment

That case is a Nasco and the tubes are from the 90's. I have a case like that from 1985, this one is in great shape. The shotgun looks like a 680 with 28" barrels and it could be a 12Ga with a set of tubes already in there. The stock is probably a JS but could be a late Hydrocoil.Comment

Yep, could be a Hydracoil.
I just noticed the mid-bead on the rib. Could be a 686 Onyx Sporting.Last edited by Ducky's Dad; 01-19-2015, 9:02 PM.Comment

The stock appears to be a Shiozaki JS Air Cushion stockBrad Blancett Gunsmithing

The adjustable trigger implies 682. That can be a custom added feature to a 686/687. Though the 682 frames were all 12g, Beretta made sub-gauge barrels to fit the 12g frame.
Case has room for another set of tubes. There may be a set installed in the barrel at the moment. Not recommended for storage, but it happens.
Surprised someone with that level of guns didn't (apparently) have them inventoried and documented in their will.Palestine is a fake country
