    Recommendation for 12gauge red-dot sight

It's time to upgrade my cheesy (albeit, curiously accurate) $100 red-dot sight on my Benelli M4. Looking at a budget of around $500-$600. My cheesy Tru-Glo sight is surprisingly good for what it is, it was zeroed out of the box and I like that I can adjust between a dot or a circle (I forget the MOA of either). Looking for something that has similar functionality, but better quality with less (or not all) blurry reticle. Also, the smaller the profile, the better. I could browse Amazon all day (and I have), but just wanted to hear what some of you guys have used on shotguns, or even just heard good things about. Thanks!
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Well personally, I think a red dot is overkill on a shotgun. But that's me. But they are most certainly cool and a lot of fun so if you've got the cash, go for it for sure...

So, my vote is for an Aimpoint. And having both a Comp M4 and a T1, I heavily favor a T1 in most instances for the weight savings. You could also get a Trijicon RMR if you wanted something small and light. I've got one on my Core. It's nice. I prefer the T1 over it if you're just looking for an opinion from someone who has both. If you're looking for a larger Aimpoint, I'd probably go with the PRO.

I use iron sights on all my shotguns, almost exclusively.

However, I once did try my EOTech XPS2-2 on my KSG, and the wide field-of-view of the EOTech worked pretty well for high recoil (e.g. shotguns) -- be able to 're-gain' the sight picture very quickly during follow-up shots.

I too have a M4. I shoulder and point it very naturally (the beauty of the M4), and it already came with a pretty nice adjustable iron sight. I plan to stick with the iron sight on mine.
