scope question

Do you know if a Pentax Gameseeker 3-9x40mm shotgun scope is legal in CA? I have found one for $88+shipping, parameters sound good and it's a good brand, too...

Yes its legal, but why a 3-9X scope on a shotgun?

Be sure to wear eye protection because you will most likely get hit in the eye with that scope flying back towards you during recoil

How will you mount this scope to your shotgun?

Oh well, I ordered the TruGlo TG8504CD Shotgun Scope, 4x32 LEER eventually. It comes with Weaver rings.

I was looking at the Truglo 8030 w/ integrated Remington Mount

but ended up with an Aimtech mount + Bushnell Holosight

Ok, it's been some time now... I've been using the gun at the range, with the scope AND a Spec Ops stock. Since I started the wrong way (with the stock set to the shortest LOP), I did get hit in the middle of my forehead by the Truglo
After adjusting the LOP to just one step longer, it has been perfect. I shot 50 Brenneke Black Magic slugs by now, over 2 occasions - I don't have ANY discomfort with the recoil. I never had to use the PAST shoulder pad. I put 5 shots on a palm size area around the bull's eye at 50 yard (palm=flat-handed, fingers closed). I had 2 slugs going through the bull's eye today (out of 5 shots).
