I ordered Herters a while back and was quite happy with them and the price.

I find them in stores frequently enough, but generally buy on the internet.

Ballistic Products Inc is where I get most of my shotgun reloading stuff. I bought 300 new, primed, skived, Fiocchi hulls and have what appears to be a good recipe for a 1 ounce bismuth load with SG-16 wads and Longshot. I couldn't get the new hulls to crimp deep (good crimps, but not deep) without crushing the hull so instead of fiddling with the crimping I used an 1/8th inch 28 gauge (I think) felt filler wad at the bottom of the shot column. I need to get some rounds out and pattern it, but it should be a good load.

Herter's from Cabelas...cheapest option out there. They work - Stocked up on 2000 rounds recently when they had their 20% off sale.

Oh sorry, got carried away, just look online. Cabelas, Midway and Able Ammo usually have a fair amount of 16ga to choose from.

The interesting thing about shooting 16 gauge shotguns, they seem to be in a constant state of making a comeback! They never actually come back, but they certainly aren't dying off very quickly.

The new lead restrictions that will be implemented for small game and upland bird hunting in CA will likely put another nail in the coffin for the 16 in CA. However, for those in the know, reloading isn't hard and the 16 still carries better and is more fun to shoot than the 12s.
