Browning Auto-5 vs Gold

I have a 1992 Browning Auto-5 Light 20 2 3/4" and was looking at a Browning Gold 20ga 3" mag. How do the Gold's hold up compared to the A-5?

The Auto-5 is a classic reliable "built-like-a-tank" design, and I love mine. The Gold's are a more modern gas-operated design that from what I have seen and am told from a friend that owns one, are great shotguns. It all depends on what you want to do with it. For dove hunting in September, I shoot my Auto-5 or my Model 11 simply cause I enjoy a classic. I would NEVER tote either of those shotguns on a refuge in the rain going after waterfowl.
