    1300 is better than the 870 ~

I've been drinkin, I'll say that up front ~ But besides aftermarket support, prove me wrong. (That said, I own and love both) But stock for stock, I give the 1300 the heads up.....

I love my 1300 speed pump, its super fast, however I did have to have it worked on twice when the dual lock bars detached when I was young and I didn't have my hand on the forend tight enough. Been running great for the last 4 years though.

I love my 1300. Never had a problem. Nice trigger. I shot a friend's Mossberg last week, and I gotta say that was the most horrible trigger I ever felt on any gun ever. sorry.

Getting parts isn't always fun. Sucks infact.

Parts support is terrible though. The only place for 1300 barrels wanted $210 for an 18" barrel. I almost spit out my food. That is why I just decided to just buy another shotgun for home defense.

If you are ever in SD areas I'll let you put the 1300 against my 1986 model AI&P "JD McGuires " police magnum 870 HDIi. A weapon I would trust my life to all day and everyday more than I could say against any 1300 shotgun I have ever shot

I'll stick with my purchased used 870 Wingmasters.

But then again I haven't had a drink in 25 years.
