Great memories of going to Indio with my dad for dove opener every year.
My very first trip was with a BB gun.
He wanted to make sure I didn't doing anything stupid with a gun.
The next two years were with a .410 Remington 1100.
After that, it was all Skeet-choked 12 gauge 1100's.

My all time favorite hunting memory was when I was 16 and we were duck hunting at Etiwanda and he and I took down a pair of Mallards simultaneously.
    Bangbang...splashsplash.

    Great times.

My Rem. 1100 in 12 ga. with skeet choke was also my favorite for many years. I truly know what you mean about that third shot...usually a wasted one but sometimes, it takes two to bracket and you do nail it on the third...LOL. As the years went by, I transitioned to a 1100 in a 20 ga. which didn't quite have the pattern density or shot string but I got used to it. Now its the over and under.

As to which fly the fastest, I am talking about speed over a duck blind and I know I have to swing faster on teal than on mallards. Yes, when those ducks and geese get up into the jet stream, they rocket....but not while passing over a string of decoys...you know that, Guns4life, ...you are just jerking my chain with those statistics...LOL
