    Stock Help

Hey all. I'm looking to get a mesa tactical urbino stock for my remington 870. I was hoping to hear some opinions on cheek riser vs no check riser. It's not really a question of cost but more functionality.

    Is the riser helpful? PITA?

Attached is pic of it. The high tube adapter isn't working out too we'll for me. I think it looks kick @$$, but isn't that ergonomical. So, I'm looking at a stock change.

    Thanks in advance!

IMO, if you're taller in stature a cheek riser helps with target acquisition, and a more comfortable sight alignment. I was always taught to bring the gun to your eye level; never bring your eyes down the the gun. I would say to go to a shop that carries it and try one on for feel. I've found with guns it's a matter of personal preference and comfort.

Thanks for input. I'll see if I can find one at LGS to check out.
