Why do you like your M3?

I fired my new M3 for the first time last Saturday, and I love this thing. Forget the weight issue (my 870 weighs more than this), forget the solution for a non-existent problem, this thing was fun to shoot! It seems like there's more recoil in pump-action mode, but nothing to worry about..I don't think having two modes is a disadvantage either. Me and some friends put around 80 full-power buck and slug through it so far, no cycling problems or feed issues whatsoever. Double-taps, going dry, all flawless.

I know there are M3 owners who chime-in from time to time whenever the topic comes up, let me know what made you buy an M3, or why you like it. Competition or cool factor is fine too, hopefully this will help those closet fans who aren't sure whether to buy an M3 or not

Lots of people looking not too many comments about liking the M3. You will be hard pressed to find anybody shooting one of them in competition because they aren't competitive compared to the M1 or M2 or the rest of the shotgun world.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

Because of the dual mode and the top folding stock.

I LOVE mine! Don't shoot it much, but when I do it's smooth shooting and reliable. Great balance and easy manual of arms for a convertible too.

I bought mine because it was 600 bucks, for that price how could I not. It's a cool gun but if I had to choose I would pick a M1 or M2 over it.

allllright, sell it and buy something else. for 600 you could have easily bought the M1 or M2. you didn't.

M3 kicks arse because it is pump and semi without the stupid spring in the stock (folding stock is an option).

Tlillard what is the advantage you see in a combat shotgun to shoot both semi and pump? If the pump gun is more reliable then what would you need a semi for?

What do you need a folding stock for? Or just a pistol grip stock? Why would you want a gun that is harder to maintain?

The M3 is awesome. Pump and semi, both work flawlessly. For some reason I sense a lot of hate (I think it is more envy) for the M3.

Sbj I would expect the gun to work flawlessly. What are the advantages in it? Nobody on this board is a bigger advocate of Benellis than myself. No envy here. I would buy an M3 if it were dirt cheap so I could say I have an M1 M2 M3 M4. But I don't care enough about saying that to spend over a couple of hundred bucks.

You may be in possession of an assault weapon. A semi-auto shotgun with a pistol grip and folding or collapsing stock is an assault weapon by definition. You need to rethink your top folding stock.
