I tried firing 3"Remington Sabots (solid copper) at the range today though my new Mossberg rifled barrel. The first round fired fine and so did the second one. On the 3rd and 4th, I was unable to pull the trigger.
I would chamber a round in and was able to pull the forearm back to eject it without firing. My guess is maybe the bolt wasn't far enough in to fire? I am really confused and pissed as I have a Michigan trip next month. Maybe I have a defective barrel or shells? Thanks
The mossberg will chamber 2-3/4" fine but had problems with the 3". Any ideas?
