You can always pick up a new barrel and have whatever kind of sights you want installed. Thats what is cool about 590's and 870's, parts a plenty.

You mean 500's not 590's. The 590 I have has a 9 shot magazine and is not compatible with the many barrels available for the 500. I may be able to buy a magazine and barrel for the price of a big5 combo.

Try before you buy and stay away from used. Big 5 is selling them for $250.

590's at $250? I buy used guns a lot, sometimes the risk is worth it, I have gotten various Mossberg pumps at $100-150.

keep it, throw a pistol grip on it and use it as a downstairs or garage gun...

what you have now is a beater/loaner/throw in the truck shotgun.. a reliable beater/loaner with a choke system...that you don't worry if it's going to get scratched..etc.. not really worth selling unless you absolutly have to and it's not an computer where you loose more than 80% of your vested funds as time goes on...
