Remington Wingmaster 12 gauge needs a gunsmith.

My friend's Remington Wingmaster 12 gauge pump had a choke tube drilled into the end of it and it was never done quite right. After 25 years or so, it doesn't look so good. Can someone recommend a good gunsmith with shotgun expertise in the Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley area?

PM if you like or post.

    Thanks,

Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch: And the Lord spake, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to 3. No more. No less. 3 shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be 3. 4 shalt thou not count, nor either count thou 2, excepting that thou then proceed to 3. 5 is right out. Once the number 3, being the third number, be reached, then, lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.'

Briley did a great job installing a screw in choke on my 20 gauge Wingmaster 30" full barrel some years ago. It wasn't inexpensive, but they did a great job and as I recall the turnaround time was acceptable.

Sorry, don't know of any in Socal. But I bet your friend could just buy a replacement barrel for less than getting a gunsmith to rethread/rechoke the barrel. I saw some yesterday (12ga barrels) that were running $160-$180 for a new barrel with remchokes.
