    Benelli ETHOS

I don't have a shotgun, and they never really interested me, until I saw the engraved nickel Benelli ETHOS.

I don't need a shotgun and it's expensive, but I want it anyway.

Can't get it until next year though, since I'm blowing all my cash on off SSE pistols while I still can.

    I understand. I want a Benelli M2 all decked out for 3 Gun. I don't even shoot 3 Gun!

    Still want one!

umd, yes they are a beautiful, functional and extremely reliable as are all Benellis. They're simply perfect!

G&A had a feature on them in recent months. Good looking piece.

Personally, I'm more of a VersaMax type of guy, but that Benelli is a beauty.

          I want one too.

However, make sure it fits you and you like the handling. Some people don't like the recoil impulse imparted by the inertial driven system or the lighter weight of Benelli semi-autos. Both my wife and I shoot trap with Benelli semi-autos (M2 Field Compact and Supersport, both 12 gauge) and we like Benelli shotguns but I've seen many posts by others who don't like them.

I picked up a 24" Benelli M2 with the thoughts of getting into 3 gun and trap. have only been able to get into trap so far but it's been great. Very light recoil and comes with chokes and shims. adjusted drop and switched out to a Mod choke and have been doing pretty good. my schedule doesn't allow me to get out to 3 gun, and mods seem to be pricey adding the extended tube and larger bolt release and charge handle seems to add up quick but I'm confident in saying it would run well in 3 gun too.

              I always like Benelli; have a SuperSport, M1S90, M4, and just got a M2 3-Gun.

The EHOS is similar to my SuperSport (I think the ETHOS has even more nice features), and I love shooting the SuperSport. You would be very happy with the ETHOS, and it is a beautiful gun.

I don't really know what I'd like... I've done a little but of trap and skeet with rented guns (Weatherby I believe), but that's it. I just love how it looks and I like the idea of the technology that went into it.

Do shotguns have a bunch of stupid laws like rifles and handguns in California, or is it pretty straightforward? I assume these are legal here.

                  There's a chart here:

But basically, the Benelli ETHOS is legal and I've seen them at the Pro shop in Coyote Valley Sporting Clays.

Totally legal in CA. I sold some assets and had 1500 bucks set aside for a premium shotgun, and I handled the ETHOS, Maxus, New A5, several O/U's, an A400 Beretta, and I found an A300 Outlander on consignment that just felt like it was made to be shot by me. I might not have my form established enough shooting shotguns, which I'd like to work on, but I ended up getting a gun that feels WAY better to shoulder and handle at half the price of the others. If you can afford it, why not?! If you decide to get serious about shotgunning, bide your time. Take some instruction and find the right shotgun that fits you, no matter the hype/appearance/price range.
