    .
I've spoken to Mr. Corson on the telephone about two years ago. Very nice man, and very knowledgeable. Sometime this fall I hope to purchase a shorter barrel for a very nice S&W Model 3000 I have.

Since it's been awhile, I hope Mr. Corson is doing well.

        Seems legitimate.

I hate how a lot of smaller businesses involved with firearms (parts especially) so often have such terrible web design. A lot of time it just screams scam, even when it isn't.
So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.

Nearly 7 or 8 years ago I sold him a barrel, so he's been in business a long time.

Based on that web design, I believe it.

Tell me about it... I understand they're a small business but in this day and age your webpage is everything; kind of like your handshake almost.

I think it's a mixture of them being older and not as computer-savvy and not wanting to spend the dough for a designer.

I have been told my web site is old and out of date. It is the worst of all the shotgun customizers. I did it on Go Daddy and I maintain it and I am not a computer guy. So if someone believes a fancy web site is crucial then they should shop elsewhere.

A web site does nothing to enhance the quality of work and the manner one conducts business. What it will do is raise the cost of the items being sold and the service provided. Someone pays for those fancy web sites and that someone is the customer. So if you want to pay for a fancy web site there are plenty of them out there. I won't go into the ones in this business who have state of art web sites and produce garbage and won't stand behind their work. Plenty of them out there also.

I keep my prices down by having that web site. I save bubble wrap and shipping boxes when sent to me. I take those bubble envelops and use a hair dryer to heat up the label on them and pull it off to use the envelops again. I do all these things to keep prices down and put value in the hands of customers. I can't impress them with some fancy web site so I do it with quality and value.

This Post went stupid real fast with fussing about a mans web site when it is obvious he provides something hard to find in this business. I don't know him but I am comfortable telling the OP to do business with him.

An option to avoid a whole new barrel is send your current barrel to Briley in Texas. They currently have my model 11 barrel and are threading it, and for 250 it comes with three chokes

I have ordered 2 Remington 870 barrels from Corson's and I was completely satisfied. Both times they shipped right away, and my barrels were just liked described. I think you'll be happy.
