Convert Saiga?

I just put an IZ109 in jail and I'm thinking about converting it. I mean, it already has a magblock on it, which is the only reason I had to leave it, that an 922 but that's also solved with a G2 set and a US mag.

What do you guys thing? Holding value isn't to big of a deal, I won't be selling it any time soon. And I've converted two other saigas

doing the upper hand guard is a pain. Not a conventionally removable gas tube. Just something to keep in mind before committing to any plan/s. I ended up just slapping a SKS gas tube heat shield ($20) on it instead...

I got my Saiga 12 yesterday and I took it apart and nothing looks like standard AKM/Saiga. Different recoil spring, bolt carrier design and even the trigger assembly looks different haha.

How much of a pain is a conversion? Can I use a G2 trigger group?

Carolina shooters supply has lots of conversion kits for S12.
You need a modified G2 hammer, CSS includes it in their kits.
You need a Solar Tac BB for converted S12.

Downloading your 10rd mag by 1 or 2 rds makes it easy to load mag on a closed bolt.
