Browning Citori Ser. # & Value Question


A friend inheirted a Browning Citori Ser # 08588PV103

From researching it ... I have found ...

PV would be 1985 ... but I have another book that says this gun was not made untill 1986 ???

103 = 12ga. 3 1/2 inch Grade 1 Hunting model ....

Am I right ? and if so .... what would one in 95% be worth ?

My guess would be $900 - $1000. As for date of manufacture, could very well be an 1985 late manufacture run on the 1986 model.

3-1/2" Citori's are well built O/U's but they are not the most desirable, they're heavy, heavy, heavy(~9 lbs) and the used market is flooded with ton's of 3" grade I Browning Citori's.

If you check out Gunbroker.com, standard Grade I Citori's are priced anywhere from $700-$1400+ and the $1000+to $1400 just sit there unsold.
