    Saiga

I started this discussion in the rifle forum thinking the gun I was referring to was a rifle, but I was told it is a shotgun and NOT a rifle. Hit pause at the 17 second mark to see what I'm talking about

Has anyone here have any experience with this version of the Saiga 12?

    Yes

If people have experience with the s12 and VEPR's- what is your question??
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

You were told in the other thread it's a Kushnapup conversion for the Saiga 12 (Vepr, too?). Check it out on their site- http://www.kushnapup.com/

Then, go to Google.com and search for "Kushnapup". Click on the Videos link. Click on various videos and enjoy.

The short of it is, you put the polymer stock around your Saiga 12. There is a rod that links the trigger of the new stock with your original trigger. Questions?

How does it affect performance? It looks like it's a pretty drastic change to the original design. If I understand it correctly, you have to take a saw to the weapon.

The saw part would just be for the rear tang. It needs to be cut flush or it would stick out the back of the Kushnapup stock. If you search on YouTube you'll find a guy who kept the tang and added a piece to go over it . Cutting the tang is also an option if converting a Saiga. You can then add an internal receiver block adapter to accommodate a wider range of stocks.

I don't have a Kushnapup stock but suggest YouTube again. There are lots of videos showing the installation as well as firing it.
