bullet button on saiga 12

I went to the LGS today and saw a Saiga 12 in standard configuration. It had the traditional butstock with not pistol grip, no muzzle device. Does it having just a mag count to make it an assault weapon requiring a bullet button guard on it?

The one you saw may have had a Raddlock on it like this:

It is more discrete, so you might not notice it on visual inspection without taking out the magazine. The Raddlock on the Saiga 12 is an absolute tragedy. It alters the mag release lever, and it is simply sub-par in construction to handle 12g, in my opinion.

I'd keep the factory configuration magazine release and put on a conventional style AK mag release guard bullet button. You may need to tap the receiver to get it bolted on, but it is well worth it. Get one like this:

iv ran the rad lock for years now. never had a problem with it. id recommend it to anyone with a s-12

Chewbaca, is your stock pinned? I thought pistol grip and folding/collapsible stock on semiauto shotgun was a no, even with a BB
