winchester 1887 ammo questions

Hello.

I have read that original 1887s should only have black powder rounds shot thru them.
I haven found a good source for
10 ga black powder ammo.
Hope fully you guys can help.

Also i know 1901s are more stout. Can modern ammo be fired thru them?
