It's hard to find an Italian shotgun that isn't any good. I would purchase one without hesitation if it were what I wanted.

the m3 is a fantastic all around shotgun. can be used with a wide variety of non lethals that the m4 cannot use.

im only interested in lethals so i bought the m4.

i got to shot one this weekend. it's a nice gun but it dose not do much more then a $300 used Winchester. in my book anything over $1k should at least have removable chokes and a walnut stock, but maybe i use my shotguns differently then you would.

Everyone talks about the M1, M2 and M4. The M3 is the crazy uncle that no one wants to admit is in the family, for some reason.

Thanks for the input I went and started paperwork on it. Mainly because of the semi and pump conversion

Yea it gets a lot of hate, sort of the red headed step child of the Benellis. I owned one and loved it. It was a great shotgun.

As far as the Winchester comment, that made zero sense.

Not cheap and there are better options for less $$$$$.

I would recommend the M3 as an ideal tactical, home defense, hunting type shotgun.
Most are equipped with adjustable ghost ring sights and protected front blade. Which allows for accurate slug shooting .

Some models come with a pistol grip which is neither a plus or minus . A pistol grip makes the gun slightly more clumsy for some competitive events IMHO .

The idea of being able to use the gun as a pump doesn't really hurt its semi auto performance and there may be a time when you want to operate the pump for saving the shell etc.

As others have noted this gun is not much use for sports requiring the use of chokes . You may be able to shoot skeet with it, although I personally have never seen it done.

I've never heard anyone say they were sorry they bought the M3 . I have heard a few folks say they wished they had one .
                          Hope this helps .
