20gauge buck

Yesterday I went over to Academy to grab some 20gauge buckshot

I looked and looked and just about as I was ready to give up I stumbled upon this

Spartan 20gauge 9pellet 00 buck for $12 per 25shells
Ive always known 9pellet 00 to be the traditional 12gauge load

I didnt think 20 came in OO

Yeah, that's sort of interesting.. the largest buckshot I'd ever seen in a 20 is #2 buck.. I wonder if they were able to get all of that in there.. I'd be curious to see what's inside (cut one open?).

Definitely curious to see one gutted. Maybe no wad to make it fit or just a packaging label error?

I think I have some 6 pellet 00 20ga around here somewhere, never seen 9 pellet.

Maybe they have it stacked in there like they do on .410 gauge shells? I dunno. I would also like to see what they look like on the inside.

I found a post on the high road where the op cut one open, he mic'd them and his were really #2 buck. His pics wouldn't load on my phone but he posted side by side comparison shots.

I could have sworn I had some 6 pellet 00 buck around here but I can't find it.

lol...there's no way they got 9, 00's in there.

Rio makes a 9pellet #1 buck load, but that's a roll crimp so there is a tiny bit more space available.
