Mossberg 510 question

My wife bought a shotgun for her and our 10yr old to shoot. It's a Mossberg 510 youth 20ga pump. My wife is a small framed girl that can't handle or even hold up my 870 Marine Magnum when it's in full battle dress. Full tube, 6 in the side saddle and 6 on the stock.

She was under the impression the 510 held 4+1 when actually it's 3+1. Anyone know of a tube extension for this particular gun?

Yup. Been there didn't see any way of getting the 1 shot extension from their site. No part number or even a accessories ordering section.

Well, I think the issue with extending the magazine on a Mossberg pump is that the barrel has to still be able to mate with the end of the tube to thread in. I'm sure there's something out there, though.

I put a 22in barrel on my 510 mini and to do that I had to get a longer magazine tube as well. The new tube has a 5 round capacity.

Interesting. 22" with a 5 shot tube. For an HD weapon i could cut down the barrel a couple inches to help swing it indoors.

There is also a 500 tactical 20ga with an adjustable stock. 7+1 turners had it for 399 last week.

I really wish she would've talked to me or researched this a little more. I guess it could be worse, she gcould be buying shoes and purses.
I ordered an ATI T2 stock and fore-grip, the rep said it'll fit.

With Mossbergs you have to match the barrel to the magazine tube since the former screws into the latter. Mossberg makes an 18.5" barrel/5 shot mag combo that will fit your shotgun. You need to buy it from their Parts Dept not their Online Store and IIRC it is for their Persuader or possibly their Cruiser model. I believe they also make a 20"/7 shot mag combo as well.
