Entry level turkey shotgun?

Look at Weatherby SA-08, they're made in turkey but sold by California based Weatherby.

Remington 11-87. I'd also recommend at least some stick-on rifle sights since turkey hunting requires a little bit more precision than most other forms of shotgun hunting.

Stoeger P350. it's made by Benelli and is a clone of the Nova. Comes 5 screw in choke sand is a great deal at around $400.

That's exactly what I was going to recommend to him since it's so cheap but he said he wants an autoloader so I didn't bother.

Can I ask why a "3" repeater"? Personally, I'd rather have a 3 1/2" gun and I don't care about it being a semi since, I don't plan my gun purchases around missing my first shot.

Is a 3.5" really needed for turkey? Geese I could see it really helping, but turkey? Maybe if you're having trouble getting them to come in close it'd help some. I'd imagine any 2 3/4" or 3" magnum load to the head would do the job.

Always aim for the base of the neck when hunting turkey.

OF course 3 1/2" shells aren't necessary. Turkeys are taken all the time with muzzle loaders and even self bows. But, having the capability to shoot 3 1/2" shells is a nice option to have.
