Opinions On Low Recoil HD Shells

Gunners, I'd like your opinion on low recoil HD shells. What/have you use(d), brand, 00 Buck, low brass, high brass, felt recoil etc etc?
Just got a Mossy 500 pistol grip pump, 20" barrel and curious about the low recoil stuff considering I got the pistol grip model.
    Thanks gentlemen

I use Federal LE132 00. Tight patterns and low recoil for quick follow up shots.

I use Winchester RA1200 and also have a few boxes of Federal LE132-00 but have not had a chance to try them out yet.

For HD, I use the Remington Express Managed Recoil Buck.
It makes my 1100 feel like a 20 gauge.

For range work, I've been running the Rio Royal Low Recoil Buck and Low Recoil Slugs.
            It's accurate, clean, and reliable.

Take your self-defense, hunting, and target practice to the next level with buckshot ammunition from Ammo Supply Warehouse. Find the best fit for your 12 gauge today!

Buckshot doesn't get much cheaper than that.

For HD I only use Federal Flite Control LE132 00 buck. For practice, usually Remington, Rio or Fiocchi.

For slugs, I use Fiocchi 1150fps.
Its accurate and cycles my Mossberg 930 SPX perfectly.

Low recoil is where it's at for HD, good choice.
Don't mean to hijack but you might want to spend a couple dollars on the birdshead grip. This is what I'm going with converting an old 500AT for HD.
I have a Stoeger 2000 with a pistol grip stock that beats up my wrist with full power loads. I can imagine what it's like with a pump. Everything I've seen on line says it's much easier to handle.

Almost forgot----Shockwave Technologies for the birdshead grip.

This is my choice as well.

I have patterened my Mossy 590 for HD with 3 types of 00 Buck. All Low Recoil (Tactical), all shot at 10 yds, Remington, Fiocchi & Federal.

                      Remington RL12BK00 - 3.5 inch pattern
                      Fiocchi 12LE00BK - 5.5 inch pattern
                      Federal LE133 00 - 1.2 inch pattern (Flite Control)

I consider any of the above 00 Buck to be acceptable for my shotgun, but I keep it loaded with the Federal Flite Control.

Thank you for that Legasat. Fiocchi it is for HD.

Lots of good info about the different rounds, but it is all useless to you until you run it in YOUR gun. You've got a pump action so it should be pretty forgiving with different ammo types and configurations. But some pumps definitely like high (or low) brass. I've had some weird issues with my SA HD guns. On one (Mossy 930), it HATES the LE132, but only works 100% with the cheap Rio low recoil buck (or Winchester Military stuff, but that is full power). Another gun (ATI Tac SX2) only likes the cheap Spartan buckshot rounds. A third gun (Beretta 1301 Comp) fortunately eats anything and everything I feed it.

But the point is, you have to get a few boxes of many different shells, and run them through your gun using your personal technique in order to find what is best for you. Then you can get to patterning.

I use Fiocchi low recoil. It's cheap enough to practice with and gets the job done.
